After India's tour of West Indies, there will be a new brandname on Team India's jersey as Oppo makes way for Byju's. The Chinesesmartphone brand, which had made a winning bid of about Rs. 1,079 crore for thejersey rights in March 2017 for a period of five years, will now be succeededby the Bangalore-based educational technology firm.
According to a report in the Times of India, Oppo has madethe decision to exit the space and reallocate the rights to the educationalfirm because they now find the value which they acquired the rights in 2017 tobe 'extremely high' and 'unsustainable'.
